PlantWatch Newfoundland and Labrador, Citizen Scientists at Work: From Garden to Campus

Thursday, April 24, 2014, 1-2 p.m.
UC-3018, The Landing

PlantWatch is part of the national NatureWatch series of volunteer monitoring programs designed to help identify ecological changes such as climate change that may be affecting our environment.  As ‘citizen scientists’ you can watch plants bloom in the spring, record your observations and submit your data.  It’s that easy!  Your valuable data will help to track climate trends in our province and can be compared with other areas of the country.  Come to learn about our spring flowering plants and PlantWatching in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Registration is not required.  Participants are invited to bring along their lunch. Everyone is welcome.

Admission is by donation.  FREE for students!  All proceeds help support Botanical Garden education program.

Instructor:  Madonna Bishop, MUN Botanical Garden Research Liaison
Format: PowerPoint Presentation
