English 4401; Producing the Play presents Unity (1918)
English 4401; Producing the Play will be presenting Unity (1918) at the Barbara Barrett Theatre from Thursday, Nov. 27, to Saturday, Nov. 29. Shows are at 7 pm each night, and there is also a matinee on the Saturday at 1 pm. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors; and $20 for adults and can be purchased through the Arts and Culture Centre box office. Heres a little blurb I wrote on the play:
In times of trouble, communities pull together and stand strong. In Unity, Saskatchewan in 1918, its every man, woman, and Icelander for themselves. As soldiers return home from WWI, the Spanish Flu travels with them. Signs of the apocalypse appear: women preachers, shirtless farmhands, and wooden dildos. Death is blind in Unity, and so is the morticians assistant. Unity (1918) is an award winning play by Kevin Kerr.
