Abortion and Mental Health: Identifying Who Is At Risk and How to Help

Guest lecturer Dr. Martha Shuping will be presenting on campus regarding the challenges faced by many women following abortion with a focus on counseling techniques.

Presented by the Christian Medical and Dental Society, MUN Campus Chaplaincy and the Counseling Centre. All welcome.

A second lecture will be hosted by the Christian Medical and Demtal Society on Thursday, Sept. 25, 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Lecture Theatre A in the Health Sciences Centre. Adacdemics, students, physicians and other medical professionals are most welcome.

Psychiatrist Dr. Martha Shuping is an internationally recognized expert in post-abortion issues with thirty years of experience in her field. She graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1984, and she recently completed Harvard Medical School's Global Clinical Scholars program, which provides advanced research training to medical doctors from around the world.
