Activating Knowledge and Partnerships: Opening a Different Discourse on Scholarship: Margaret McLean

Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, 4-6 p.m.
Main Auditorium, Health Sciences Centre

In her lecture titled Activating Knowledge and Partnerships: Opening a Different Discourse on Scholarship, Dr. Margaret Harrison argues that it's not enough to create knowledge in an ivory tower, and that we owe it to patients to ensure our knowledge gets implemented on the ground.

A nationally and internationally recognized scholar and professor emerita at the Queen's University School of Nursing, Dr. Harrison will share concrete examples of how nursing scholarship can be integrated into the daily work of practitioners in hospitals and clinics across the country, based on her 20 years of field work in this area.

A reception will follow in the main foyer of the HSC.
