An Evening With The China Conservatory

The China Conservatory presents traditional Chinese music performed by 15 virtuosic musicians. The Conservatory offers a wide range of programs, including musicology, composition, Chinese instruments, (Western) orchestral instruments, piano, voice and opera, music education, conducting, music technology and arts administration. The Conservatory is also involved in research, extra-musical studies, adult education, international exchange, and has an affiliated secondary school.

The China Conservatory has a keen interest in international exchange and cooperation. In 2010, the China Conservatory hosted the 29th World Conference of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) in Beijing. With its large number of high-quality faculty and dedicated staff, the China Conservatory has produced thousands of local and international graduates since its establishment, many of whom have become renowned scholars, artists, and performers who are active on the national and international scenes.
