Science Career Panel and Speed Networking Social Event
Oh, the places youll go! Interested in learning where your science degree can take you? Interested in learning the nuts and bolts of socializing at professional events and how to network to land you your dream job? Here is a great opportunity to practice your skills by socializing with science alumni with various backgrounds working in the industry at a Science Career Panel and Speed Networking Social.
Panel: What Can I do with a Science Degree? 5-6 p.m.
Our panel of science alumni working in the industry will speak with science students about where their science degree landed them a job and what other experiences have helped them along the way!
Speed Networking Social, 6-7 p.m.
If youve ever heard of speed dating, this speed networking social will sound familiar. During the social, students and participating science alumni will match up in small groups and get acquainted. A bell will ring every 10 minutes, signaling participants that its time to move on and meet someone new. Feel free to bring questions to ask the panelists! The formal program will finish up at 7:00pm, but refreshments will be available until 7:30 if alumni and students wish to stay and continue socializing.
