Backyard Composting: Session No. 3 from Garden to Campus Workshop Series

Thursday, March 26, 2015, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
UC-3018, The Landing

Did you know that a compost bin never sleeps? It works 24/7, producing heat, even during a power outage! Drop by to learn some problem-solving tips, tricks and advice on how to compost indoors and out, 12 months of the year. Participants of this program will be eligible to purchase a City of St. John’s backyard compost bin at a reduced price.

Admission is free for students. Donations gratefully accepted. All proceeds help support the MUN Botanical Garden education programs.

MUN Botanical Garden is offering a series of workshops again this winter on MUN campus, on the last Thursday of every month, January-April. The From Garden to Campus Brown Bag Series, which starts on January 29, will include workshops on backyard composting, vegetable gardening in raised beds, Newfoundland edible plants and more.  Registration is not required and participants are invited to bring along their lunch.  Everyone is welcome.
