Lindy Hop on the Rock is very excited to announce a weekend of swing and blues workshops with instructors Byron Alley and Natalia Rueda. Whether you are brand new to Lindy Hop/Blues or an old hand, there will be classes suitable for your skill level.

Saturday, March 14 (morning): Beginner-Friendly Lindy Hop Workshops
(To be held in the Music, Media and Place (MMaP) room in the Arts and Culture Centre)

RHYTHM (10-11 a.m.)
An introduction to six-count, with a focus on the triple step. This workshop is targeted at beginners but even advanced Lindy Hoppers could stand to gain something from the additional technical instruction.

FLOW (11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.)
This lesson will focus on improving the flow of specific movements. Again, this workshop is targeted at beginners but even advanced Lindy Hoppers could stand to gain something from the additional technical instruction.

Saturday, March 14 (afternoon): Beginner/Intermediate Lindy Hop Workshops
(To be held in the Music, Media and Place (MMaP) room in the Arts and Culture Centre)

CHARLESTON (1:30-2:30 p.m.)
Beginner-friendly! An introduction to side Charleston technique, possibly moving on to other variations as well. 

CONNECTION (2:45-3:45 p.m.)
Advanced beginner/Intermediate-friendly. A deeper analysis of some movements that rely on connection for proper execution.

***Note: we strongly recommend that our more advanced dancers attend the introductory classes in addition to the intermediate classes. This is a great chance to refine your technique with the help of some amazing instructors! The earlier classes are also likely to influence the content of the more advanced classes as well.
