Dr. Stephen Bruneau will be giving an illustrated talk on icebergs. Dr. Bruneau, associate professor and director of industrial outreach in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, is a longtime outdoor recreation enthusiast.

 

In 2004, he published a field guide entitled “Icebergs of Newfoundland and Labrador” and six years later teamed up with fellow enthusiast and author, Kevin Redmond, to produce the picture book "Iceberg Alley".  Dr. Bruneau is actively involved in ice and iceberg research activities at Memorial University, and is often consulted by media and hospitality industry partners on matters related to the iceberg phenomenon in Newfoundland and Labrador.
