Data Privacy Day: Cloud Contracts and Social Media in the Workplace
Memorials Information Access and Privacy Office is holding public discussions on the cloud and social media in the workplace to mark Data Privacy Day on Jan. 28.
Shelley Smith, Memorials chief information officer, leads a three-person panel discussion and Q&A on Contract Considerations in the Cloud, 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Panelists: Alex Templeton, McInnes Cooper; Sylvia Kingsmill, Deloitte; and Sean Murray, Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner. Coffee and tea will be provided.
David Fraser, one of Canadas leading internet, technology and privacy lawyers, speaks on Social Media in the Workplace: Online Conduct, Harassment and Discipline, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Both events are open to the public and admission is free. Registration is required no later than Jan. 27 by emailing Ellen Wright at ewright@mun.ca.
