A significant rainfall caused flooding through the roof of the Arts and Administration Building Thursday night resulting in damage to several offices, including the Department of English in the Faculty of Arts, the Office of the Vice-President (Research) and the payroll division of Human Resources.

Despite the flooding, the payroll for the next payday for employees (July 9) and retirees (mid-July) will be processed without disruption. The extent of the damage to paper files is still being determined. Once a full assessment has been conducted a further update will follow.
