Group of 44

The First Space Gallery at the Queen Elizabeth II Library presents Group of 44, an exhibition of artwork from current and retired members of the Memorial University community. The exhibition will be displayed until August 13, 2012. Pictured above is Peace Garden by Dominique Hurley. Ms. Hurley teaches part time in the English as a Second Language Department at Memorial and is a visual artist the rest of the time. She creates mixed media pieces rich in vibrant colours, textures and spiritual symbolism, often incorporating her photography through gel transfers and gemstones.
