Gov. Gen. David Johnston, centre, visited Memorials St. Johns campus on May 22. The Queens representative in Canada met with approximately 250 high school students in the Education building to talk and answer questions about what qualities make great leaders. Sixty other schools in the province participated online, facilitated by Memorials DELTS unit and the provincial governments Centre for Distance Learning and Innovation. Premier Paul Davis and Lorraine Mitchelmore, chief executive officer of Shell Canada and a Memorial alumna, joined the Governor General in the discussion, as did event host President Gary Kachanoski.
